Accreditation and legal authorization are two separate things in higher education, and it's a distinction worth understanding. Even in the United States, the Department of Education doesn't accredit universities directly — it recognizes independent accrediting bodies, and institutions can be legally authorized to operate while their accreditation is still being pursued. Being unaccredited doesn't automatically mean an institution is low-quality; it depends on the institution's actual governance, standards, and how its qualifications will be used.
We take verification seriously. For qualifications used internationally, we're prepared to work with the relevant embassy or governmental authority to verify the institution and the documentation we issue. This is an added layer of authenticity, not a substitute for accreditation — and we don't claim it is.
To be transparent: Gordon University is not yet accredited.
